Are you an experienced Technician looking for a role where you can work independently, be home each night and still have the backing of a national organisation?
Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA) is looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team, working remotely from the Tamworth region and reporting to our Newcastle Branch.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being out on the road, working directly with customers and having the freedom to manage their own day.
What will you be doing?
As a Field Service Technician, you'll be responsible for keeping our customers' equipment operating safely and efficiently. Your day will involve travelling to customer sites throughout the Tamworth and surrounding regional areas to:
-
Carry out scheduled servicing, maintenance and repairs on material handling equipment
-
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
-
Attend breakdowns and respond to customer service requirements
-
Complete preventative maintenance and safety inspections
-
Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
-
Build strong relationships with customers and provide professional technical support
-
Work closely with the Newcastle Branch and our wider service network
-
Manage your daily schedule while working autonomously in the field
Why join TMHA ?
You may already know Toyota Material Handling Australia as one of Australia's leading material handling equipment providers – but there's much more to being part of our team.
We're backed by Toyota Industries Corporation and have a strong national presence, giving our people the stability and support of a global organisation while still maintaining a strong team culture locally.
As a TMHA Technician, you'll have access to:
-
A fully maintained company vehicle and the tools required to do your job
-
Competitive hourly rate + incentives & superannuation
-
Overtime and additional earning opportunities
-
Toyota factory and technical training
-
Ongoing professional development and career opportunities
-
Technical support from experienced teams across the business
-
The security of being part of an established, growing organisation
-
A strong team environment, even when you're working remotely
What are we looking for?
We're looking for a technician who is practical, customer-focused and enjoys solving problems.
You'll ideally have:
-
A relevant mechanical trade qualification – Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology, Heavy Vehicle, Automotive or equivalent
-
Experience working on mobile plant, forklifts, heavy vehicles, agricultural machinery or similar equipment
-
Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic diagnostic skills
-
The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
-
Good communication and customer service skills
-
A current driver's licence
-
A strong commitment to safety and quality
Forklift experience is highly regarded, but not essential. If you have experience working on other types of mobile equipment and have the right attitude and technical capability, we'd love to hear from you.
This could be the move you've been looking for.
If you're based in Tamworth or the surrounding region and want a role that gives you the best of both worlds – the independence of a regional field position with the support and security of a major national company – this could be your next opportunity.
