Red Cross runs accommodation centres next to hospitals for patients and their families while they receive treatment. The Wellbeing Centre is a facility offering home away from home style accommodation in an inclusive, healing, safe and culturally appropriate environment.
In this position, you will be:
- Preparing rooms for incoming guests, including making beds
- Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and shared spaces throughout the accommodation centre
- Ensuring supplies are stocked effectively and storerooms are maintained
- Reporting any property damage, hazards or issues to minimise potential risk to others in the accommodation centre such as staff, volunteers, guests and members of the public
- Coordinating laundry services
Hours
- This is a casual role with varying days and hours across a 7 day roster including school and public holidays and weekends
You will bring:
- Prior experience in providing housekeeping or cleaning services in an accommodation centre or similar
- An understanding of Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures, including manual handling, storage and use of chemicals
- Ability to prioritise tasks
- Demonstrated reliability and work ethic
- Strong customer focus
- Ability to work a flexible roster as required

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award – Level 1 from $27.55 per hour + casual loading at 25%
