About the role
As our Specialist MRI Radiographer, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality specialist MRI services that directly support patient diagnosis, treatment and care. Working across a broad range of complex MRI procedures—including cardiac, breast, neonatal and paediatric imaging—you'll use your advanced clinical expertise, professional judgement and innovative approach to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients. You'll have the opportunity to work with leading technology in a fast-paced tertiary hospital environment while making a meaningful difference to the lives of South Australians.
This is a collaborative role where you'll build strong relationships with radiologists, medical officers, nurses, senior radiographers, sonographers and multidisciplinary teams across the hospital to deliver responsive, patient-centred care. Beyond your clinical practice, you'll contribute to the ongoing development of the MRI service by mentoring colleagues, supporting training initiatives and sharing your specialist knowledge to foster excellence across the team. About You
You are an experienced and patient-focused MRI Radiographer with a passion for delivering exceptional diagnostic imaging services. Combining advanced technical expertise with excellent communication skills, you thrive in a collaborative healthcare environment and are committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and continuous improvement.
Qualified and accredited – You hold recognised diagnostic radiography qualifications, current registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia, a Radiation Licence and Level 1 Magnetic Resonance Imaging Accreditation through the Australian Institute of Radiography.
Highly skilled and adaptable – You have extensive experience performing advanced MRI procedures, applying sound clinical judgement and adapting imaging techniques to achieve the best outcomes for patients.
Collaborative and solution-focused – You work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, communicate confidently with colleagues and patients, embrace new technologies and proactively identify and resolve challenges.
Committed to excellence – You bring specialist MRI knowledge, a strong understanding of MRI safety and quality principles, and a genuine commitment to mentoring others, professional development and delivering safe, high-quality patient care.
