Due to the growing demand for skilled professionals, we are seeking an experienced and dedicated Painter to join our team and contribute to the ongoing quality and success of our projects.
Position Overview
Scion Group Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified painter with proven experience for a permanent, full-time position. The successful candidate will be responsible for surface preparation, paint application, coatings and finishes on construction projects, maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
● Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming as required.
● Apply paints, varnishes, stains, and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
● Match paint colours and finishes according to project specifications.
● Inspect completed work to ensure a high-quality finish.
● Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
● Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
● Work collaboratively with site supervisors and other trades.
Qualifications and Experience:
● Minimum of 3 years of relevant painting experience.
●Trade qualification in Painting.
●Strong knowledge of surface preparation, painting techniques, coatings, and finishing methods.
●Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
●High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
●White Card (Construction Induction Card) required.
●Valid driver’s licence preferred.
● Strong understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
● Excellent time management and communication skills.
●Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or an equivalent qualification.
● Living in Australia.
