About Us
Baysictechnique Physiotherapy is a small, values-driven private practice in Sydney. We’re known for two things: excellent patient care and a professional, drama-free team culture. We run tight systems, we back each other up, and we take pride in doing the small things well.
We’re not the right fit for everyone , and that’s the point of this ad.
The Role
You’ll be the first voice and face our patients experience. You’ll also be the engine room of the clinic, running the diary, handling billing, keeping records clean, and supporting some light marketing and accounting tasks.
This is a hands-on role in a small team. There’s nowhere to hide, and nowhere better to grow if you take pride in your work.
Core responsibilities:
- Welcome patients warmly, in person and on the phone
- Manage bookings, waitlists, follow-ups, and clinician diaries
- Process HICAPS/Medicare claims, payments, and end-of-day reconciliation
- Maintain accurate, confidential patient records
- Support the team with light marketing
- Support the team with accounts tasks including sending, receiving and following up invoices
- Spot inefficiencies and suggest better ways of doing things
Who This Role Is For
- You have at least 12 months’ recent experience in an allied health clinic
- You’ve used practice management software Cliniko confidently
- You’ve handled HICAPS/Medicare billing and daily reconciliations without hand-holding
- You’re punctual, organised, and calm under pressure
- You’re comfortable being on the phone with case managers from insurance companies
- You write and speak clearly and professionally
- You take feedback well and want to keep improving
- You have the legal right to work in Australia
Who This Role Is Not For
- People applying to dozens of jobs a day hoping something sticks
- Anyone who needs to be micromanaged or chased for basics
- Anyone who brings gossip, negativity, or drama to work
- People without genuine healthcare reception experience
- Any of the above you are not comfortable with

Include:
1. Your resume (PDF)
2. A short cover letter (max 1 page) answering the questions below
Answer these in your own words. Please do not use ChatGPT or any AI to write your answers — we can tell, and it’s an automatic no. We’d rather read a short, honest answer than a polished generic one.
1. What specifically drew you to this clinic and this ad? (Mention something from the ad itself.)
2. Which practice management system(s) have you used, for how long, and what were you responsible for in it day-to-day?
3. Tell us about a real time you dealt with a difficult patient, a billing mistake, or a scheduling mix-up. What happened, what did you do, and what did you learn?
4. What are your current availability (days and times), any upcoming leave/commitments in the next 3 months, and how long is your commute to [Suburb]?
5. On a scale of 1–10, how confident are you with HICAPS/Medicare reconciliation, and what does your end-of-day process usually look like?
Applications missing any of these answers, or clearly written by AI, will not be reviewed. We read every genuine application personally and reply to shortlisted candidates within 7 days.
