Chefs – Full-Time and Casual Positions
Olivera Italian | Manly, Brisbane
Olivera is a busy waterfront Italian restaurant in Manly, Brisbane, and we are looking for experienced and reliable chefs to join our kitchen team.
We are seeking chefs across a range of experience levels, including qualified chefs, chef de parties and experienced cooks. This is a great opportunity to join a growing restaurant, work closely with the owners and contribute to the continued development of the Olivera menu and dining experience.
About the Role
You will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality Italian-inspired dishes while helping maintain an organised, efficient and professional kitchen.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and cooking menu items to a consistently high standard
- Managing your section during busy lunch and dinner services
- Completing daily food preparation and service requirements
- Maintaining food safety, cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Monitoring stock levels and minimising food waste
- Assisting with deliveries, stock rotation and kitchen organisation
- Working closely with the Head Chef, owners and wider kitchen team
- Supporting menu development, specials and functions
- Helping create a positive, respectful and productive kitchen environment
About You
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- Previous experience working as a chef or experienced cook
- Experience in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen
- Strong food preparation, cooking and presentation skills
- A genuine interest in Italian food and fresh produce
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A reliable, organised and professional approach
- The ability to remain calm and efficient during busy services
- A strong understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene
- Availability across weekdays, evenings and weekends
Formal cookery qualifications are preferred for chef positions; however, experienced cooks with strong practical skills are also encouraged to apply.

Pay: $56,933.56 – $86,141.18 per year
