As a Ministry Coordinator, this is your opportunity to deliver community programs that support The Salvation Army’s mission and engage the Inverell community. You will build relationships and lead volunteers to deliver initiatives that respond to local needs.
Reporting to the Mission Leader, this is a permanent, full time role, located in Inverell, NSW.
Ensure programs and activities align with mission priorities and Corps/regional goals
Oversee delivery of community services and ministry activities
Develop and implement new initiatives responding to community needs
Recruit, lead and support volunteers, ensuring compliance and capability development
Build and maintain relationships with key community stakeholders
Manage operations, risk, budgets and reporting in line with organisational requirements
A commitment to the Christian faith and mission of The Salvation Army
An ability to offer pastoral assistance, to offer prayer and to explain the Christian Gospel
Experience in a Ministry position (desirable)
A solid understanding of TSA Doctrines & Principles (desirable)
Capacity to facilitate groups and one to one with a particular focus e.g. faith-based groups
A Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check is required.
