Qualified Electrician – Commercial Shop Fit-Outs
$50–$55 per hour + superannuation | Full-time permanent | Immediate start
MANA Electrical is a growing electrical contracting business delivering high-quality commercial and retail projects across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and greater South East Queensland.
We are looking for an experienced Qualified Electrician who can confidently complete commercial shop fit-outs from rough-in through to final fit-off, testing and handover. This is a hands-on position with the opportunity to take a leading role on site, work directly with our Lead Electrician and help guide apprentices and other team members.
This role will suit someone who takes genuine pride in their workmanship, communicates well and can be trusted to keep a project moving without constant supervision.
Key responsibilities:
- Completing commercial and retail electrical installations from rough-in to fit-off
- Reading and interpreting electrical plans, specifications and project documentation
- Installing lighting, power, switchboards, emergency lighting and associated electrical systems
- Testing, fault-finding and completing service and rectification work
- Coordinating daily site activities with builders, project managers and other trades
- Supervising and supporting apprentices when required
- Identifying issues early and communicating clearly with the MANA team
- Taking clear progress, compliance and completion photographs
- Completing required testing, digital documentation and site paperwork
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and site presentation
To be successful, you must have:
- A current unrestricted Queensland Electrical Work Licence
- Strong commercial construction and shop fit-out experience
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of allocated work
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- The ability to read plans and work efficiently to project deadlines
- A current White Card
- Current CPR/LVR certification
- A current Australian driver licence
- Your own reliable vehicle to travel to varying project sites at commencement
- A reliable smartphone with mobile data and a clear, good-quality camera for site communication, progress photographs and digital paperwork
- Good communication and leadership skills
- A reliable, professional and respectful approach
- A strong commitment to electrical safety and compliance
The following would be highly regarded:
- Previous leading-hand or site-supervision experience
- EWP and Working at Heights tickets
- Open cabling registration and structured cabling experience
- Experience with air-conditioning electrical installations
- Experience working in major shopping centres and live commercial environments

This is a permanent full-time appointment subject to a six-month probationary period. Performance, workmanship, reliability, communication and overall suitability will be reviewed throughout probation.
