We're looking for an organised and solutions-focused Outbound Freight Coordinator to join our Transport team. Reporting to the National Logistics Manager, you'll coordinate the timely, accurate and cost-effective delivery of stock to our stores and customers across Australia. Working with our distribution centres, stores, owner-drivers and transport partners, you'll schedule deliveries, build loads and help resolve operational issues to keep everything moving safely and efficiently.
- Scheduling drivers and coordinating outbound deliveries.
- Building efficient loads and managing delivery requirements.
- Working closely with transport providers, owner-drivers, stores and internal teams.
- Monitoring delivery timeframes and resolving operational issues.
- Collecting and analysing transport and customer data to improve delivery performance.
- Maintaining accurate transport documentation, reports and records.
- Supporting compliance with Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management and safety requirements.
- Identifying opportunities to improve transport processes, costs and service levels.
- Providing backup support to the Outbound Administration team when required.
You'll be someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced logistics environment and can confidently manage multiple priorities. Ideally, you'll bring:
- Two to four years' experience in logistics, transport or a similar environment.
- Experience coordinating deliveries, scheduling drivers or planning freight.
- A working knowledge of Chain of Responsibility and transport safety requirements.
- Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence working with transport providers, drivers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team.
