Managing Director – Process Instrumentation & Measurement Technology

About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and commercially astute Managing Director to lead a well-established Australian subsidiary of a globally recognised process instrumentation and measurement technology company. The successful candidate will have full accountability for the strategic direction, operational performance and commercial growth of the business, leading a multidisciplinary team across sales, technical service and subsidiary operations.
Key Responsibilities
Full P&L accountability for the Australian business operation
Development and execution of strategic business plans aligned to global corporate objectives
Leadership and development of a high performing team across sales, service, finance and operations
Driving revenue growth across key industrial sectors including mining, oil and gas, food and beverage, water treatment and life sciences
Management of key national accounts and strategic customer relationships at executive level
Overseeing financial performance, budgeting, forecasting and cost management
Ensuring regulatory compliance and corporate governance
Representing the Australian subsidiary at international leadership forums and global subsidiary meetings
Collaborating closely with the international parent company on business strategy and reporting
Requirements
Minimum 10 years experience in the process instrumentation, measurement technology or related industrial automation sector
Demonstrated senior leadership experience at General Manager or Managing Director level
Proven track record of driving commercial growth and managing P&L in a technical sales and service environment
Strong technical knowledge of process instrumentation including level, pressure and flow measurement technologies
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams across sales and technical service functions
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at executive level
Experience working within a multinational corporate structure with international reporting responsibilities
Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering, business or technical discipline, or equivalent extensive industry experience
