Killi Resources Limited is advancing the Lodestone Iron Project, a substantial iron ore project in WA's Mid-West, with a defined resource exceeding 100Mt and significant exploration upside and headed by an industry leading team with an exceptional track record.
The Lodestone Iron Project is located ~200km to the Port of Geraldton in the Mid-West region of Western Australia, east of the wheatbelt town of Morawa, between the Karara (Ansteel - active) and Koolanooka (Baowu - inactive) iron ore mines.
We are seeking a hands-on Geologist and Field Assistant to play a key role in delivering a major drilling campaign. You will be responsible for assisting in maintaining the campaigns schedule with significant RC/DD to be drilled by the end of the year. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys field-based exploration, takes ownership of their work, and values being part of a small, supportive team where contributions are visible and appreciated.
The Opportunity
Working closely with management and drilling contractors, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of a significant RC and diamond drilling program while contributing to the generation of high-quality geological data. The project is in a semi remote environment (self-contained camp with weekly trips to local towns and Perth) and is suitable for those who enjoy being in the bush with a small team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day drilling operations and contractor performance
- Assisting in the delivery of a substantial 20,000m RC and diamond drilling program
- Geological logging of RC chips and diamond core
- Sample collection, QA/QC and data management
- Maintaining safe and efficient field operations
- Supporting resource growth and exploration targeting activities
- Working collaboratively within a small team where everyone contributes across a range of activities
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in Geology or a related discipline
- Experience supporting Drilling programs, including drill planning, supervision, and safety awareness.
- Proficiency in logging and sampling of drill core and chips, with attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Strong fieldwork capabilities, including practical experience with Field Work and Geological Mapping.
- The ability to work independently while thriving in a team environment
- Commitment to field safety standards and ability to work in remote and rugged environments.
- Competence with geological software and GIS tools for data management and interpretation.
- Strong analytical, organisational, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a small exploration team.

As a Field Assistant, you'll be an important part of a small exploration team helping deliver a significant drilling program safely, efficiently and on schedule. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting daily RC and diamond drilling operations to deliver 20,000m of drilling on schedule
- Assisting with RC sample collection and processing
- Core handling, core yard organisation and drill-site logistics
- Ensuring work areas remain safe and tidy
- Assisting with equipment preparation and field activities
- Helping ensure drilling programs remain on schedule through proactive support and teamwork
- Identifying practical improvements and efficiencies that make day-to-day operations run better
