Medical Imaging at Cabrini Malvern
Join our friendly and dynamic Medical Imaging team at Cabrini, where no two days are the same! We’re seeking a passionate and adaptable Registered Nurse to provide outstanding patient care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll work across a variety of medical imaging areas including angiography, CT, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and MRI.
This role offers the chance to build valuable clinical skills, with no prior imaging experience required—just a strong foundation in surgical or medical nursing and a willingness to learn.
You’ll work alongside radiologists, radiographers, sonographers and other technical specialists, supporting both inpatients and outpatients.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, implement, and evaluate high-quality nursing care in partnership with patients and the multidisciplinary team
Deliver care aligned with Cabrini’s Mission, Values, and clinical standards
Ensure privacy, dignity, and comfort for all patients and their families
Procedure Assistance: Assisted radiologists during interventional procedures, including biopsies, PICC line placements, and angiograms, while strictly maintaining a sterile field.
Patient Care & Assessment: Conducted comprehensive pre-procedure screenings for up to 15 patients daily, verifying allergies, lab results, and contraindications for procedures
Sedation & Monitoring: Administered and managed moderate sedation and analgesics; monitored patient vitals, airway patency, and ECGs during complex procedures.
What we’re looking for
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
No previous medical imaging experience required, however 2 years surgical or medical experience preferable
A strong interest in developing new skills in medical imaging
Excellent communication and a collaborative team spirit
A passion for delivering quality care and positive patient outcomes
