About the Role:
We have a permanent full-time opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Revit Draftsperson to join our Engineering team. Working closely with engineers, project managers, and sales staff, you will produce high-quality technical documentation and BIM content for a wide range of façade access and height safety projects.
Position Purpose
Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be based in our Sydney head office and work as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will be responsible for producing technical drawings, layouts, and Revit models to support the design, manufacture, and installation of RISSafety products for both internal and external clients.
Specific Tasks
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
- Produce approval, fabrication, installation, and as-built drawings in accordance with company drafting standards.
- Revise and update drawings and documentation to reflect design changes, compliance requirements, and construction modifications.
- Interpret customer drawings, specifications, the National Construction Code (NCC), and relevant Australian Standards to produce accurate and compliant drawings.
- Develop and maintain AutoCAD and Revit libraries, including parametric Revit families and BIM content.
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, project teams, and customers throughout the design and documentation process.
- Prepare associated project documentation using Microsoft Office applications.
- Manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality documentation within agreed timeframes.
- Assist in the development of technical product specifications, standard details, and installation documentation.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of drafting standards, BIM content, systems, and processes.
Qualifications
Position Requirements
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar drafting or Revit role.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Architectural Drafting, Architectural Engineering, Engineering Drafting or a related discipline is desirable.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
- Sound understanding of BIM workflows and Revit family creation.
- Ability to interpret engineering and architectural drawings, specifications, and relevant standards.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of Australian Standards and the National Construction Code (NCC).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
