About the Company
TasWater is Tasmania’s state-owned utility responsible for providing safe and reliable water and sewerage services, delivering major infrastructure upgrades and long-term asset improvements across the state.
What You’ll Do?
- Design and manage water and wastewater infrastructure projects
- Work on pipelines, pump stations, treatment plants, and sewer systems
- Conduct engineering investigations and site assessments
- Prepare technical drawings, designs, and specifications
- Manage projects from concept through to construction
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and engineering standards
- Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams
- Support asset management and infrastructure upgrades
- Perform risk assessments and cost estimates
- Contribute to capital works programs across Tasmania
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Experience in infrastructure or utilities projects preferred
- Strong understanding of water and wastewater systems
- Knowledge of civil design standards and project delivery
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience with AutoCAD or Civil 3D (advantageous)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Understanding of environmental compliance and safety standards
