We are a newly-opened store FreshCo Hub, family-owned retail butcher shop, having a boutique section devoted to liquor and dry groceries besides meat. We are looking for a motivated Junior Butcher’s Assistant or current retail butchers assistants to join our team.
This is a casual role with flexible casual hours and Saturday shifts available, offering the opportunity to progress into a full-time apprenticeship if the candidate wishes to choose this pathway.
Your duties will include:
- Serving and assisting customers with meat, dry groceries and liquor
- Preparing and packaging meat products
- Stock replenishment and merchandising
- General cleaning and maintaining a tidy workspace
- Assisting qualified butchers with daily production
- Learning knife skills and meat preparation techniques
- POS Handling
