Join our Medical Imaging team as a Grade 4 Sonographer, where you will provide expert ultrasound services across multiple imaging sites. In this role, you will support the delivery of a high-quality, patient-centred ultrasound service while contributing to the effective operation of the department’s 24/7 imaging services. As a recognised expert practitioner, you will work collaboratively with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams, providing advanced clinical expertise and supporting excellence in diagnostic imaging and patient care.
- Independently operate all diagnostic imaging equipment including information systems (RIS/PACS/Firstnet,BOSS)
- Participate in roster which includes being available for reasonable overtime and out of hours recall and shift duty.
- Operate all ultrasound systems across Barwon Health.
- Display leadership by example and experience
- Assist with on-going practical supervision and training of students.
- Successfully completed a post graduate qualification in ultrasound (e.g. DMU or university graduate diploma)
- Registered with the Australian Sonographer Association Registry (ASAR)
- Excellent time management, communication skills, teaching, and professionalism
- The Grade 4 Sonographer must demonstrate competence and expertise across a number of areas of ultrasound
- A Grade 4 sonographer participates in the provision of a 24/7 ultrasound service which includes being available for reasonable overtime and out of hours recall
