3Sixty5 Care is seeking dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Disability Support Workers to support a young female NDIS participant in Macedon, Victoria.
The participant has complex medical, communication, sensory, personal care, and behavioural support needs. She is non-speaking and primarily communicates through gestures, vocalisations, body language, and behaviour. She requires active supervision, structured routines, sensory-based engagement, and consistent implementation of her Behaviour Support Plan.
This role is suited to support workers who are calm, observant, physically active, patient, and confident supporting children with complex disabilities and behaviours of concern.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide active, line-of-sight supervision at home and in the community.
- Assist with personal care, toileting, continence support, dressing, hygiene, meals, and hydration.
- Maintain a safe environment by removing items that may present a PICA, choking, injury, or ingestion risk.
- Support the participant using simple language, one-step instructions, gestures, and safe choices.
- Implement proactive strategies outlined in the participant’s Behaviour Support Plan.
- Recognise early signs of pain, illness, fatigue, sensory overload, distress, dehydration, or bowel discomfort.
- Support sensory regulation through movement, music, outdoor activities, water play, and other preferred activities.
- Respond calmly and safely to behaviours of concern, including aggression, self-injury, absconding, and property damage.
- Support safe community participation and transport.
- Follow mealtime, swallowing, medication, anaphylaxis, bowel management, and emergency procedures.
- Complete shift notes, bowel and fluid monitoring charts, behaviour data, medication records, and incident reports accurately.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with the participant’s family, supervisors, and wider support team.
- Maintain the participant’s dignity, privacy, safety, and independence.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services, Aged Care, or a related qualification.
- Previous experience supporting children or participants with complex disabilities.
- Experience working with Autism, profound intellectual disability, non-speaking participants, or rare genetic conditions.
- Demonstrated experience managing behaviours of concern using positive behaviour support strategies.
- Knowledge of PICA, absconding, self-injury, physical aggression, sensory regulation, and active supervision.
- Confidence providing personal care and continence support.
- Strong observation, communication, and documentation skills.
- The ability to remain calm, neutral, and professional during challenging situations.
- The physical capacity to support an active participant and respond quickly to safety risks.
- The ability to follow established plans and procedures without improvising unapproved strategies.
- Availability across weekday mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and school holidays.
Experience with complex bowel care, anaphylaxis response, medication administration, child disability support, or restrictive-practice environments will be highly regarded.
