Due to continued growth and upcoming transmission, distribution and renewable energy projects, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer – Protection, SCADA & Power Systems to join our Energy team.
About the Role
The successful candidate will support the design, operation and delivery of electrical infrastructure projects across transmission, distribution and renewable energy sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and review protection and control systems for electrical networks.
- Support digital substation and SCADA projects.
- Prepare engineering documentation, technical reports and design deliverables.
- Perform load flow, fault level and power system studies.
- Support system integration, testing and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards and client specifications.
- Support renewable energy and network integration projects.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and technical solutions.
To be successful you will have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in power systems engineering.
- Experience in protection and control engineering.
- Experience with SCADA and electrical network operations.
- Experience working on transmission, distribution or utility projects.
- Experience performing power system analysis.
- Experience in relay configuration and testing
- Knowledge of IEC 61850.
- Experience using one or more of the following software:
- Easergy Pro
- Eesergy Studio
- EcoStruxureTM Power
- SCADA Operation
- Omicron Test Universe
- ETAP
- ASPEN
- Synergi
- OpenDSS
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English.
The following will be highly regarded:
- Experience with renewable energy projects.
- Experience with digital substations.
- Experience in testing and commissioning.
- Experience with data analytics or digital engineering solutions for utilities.
Pay: $95,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
