Established in 1978, Wonnai Preschool is a high quality, boutique, community-minded kindergarten in Langwarrin, we are proud to have provided over 40 years of quality care and education to the residents of Frankston City Council. Run by a Committee of Management comprised of parent volunteers, we facilitate government funded three and four year old groups and offer each exclusive access to the centre, allowing the children to take full advantage of our excellent facilities and expansive outdoor play area. Wonnai Preschool values play-based learning and provides a caring environment where our collaborative and passionate educators are able to focus on the unique learning needs of each child, our programs are developed around the principles set out in the Victorian Early Years Learning & Development Framework, with each of our teaching team bringing their unique talents and interests to the various sessions, because of this our services are rated by ACECQA as ‘Exceeding the National Quality Standards’. Under the guidance of our professional and friendly teachers, the children are engaged in a dynamic array of indoor and outdoor activities, including stories, drama, dance and movement, puzzles, craft and painting, sports, gardening and so much more.
We are looking for an experienced 4year old Teacher. In this role, you will teach one of our 4 year old groups as well as be the Nominated Supervisor on your working days. The successful candidate will be passionate about play based learning, help our amazing children learn and develop their communication skills, sense of identity, wellbeing and sense of place in the community. You will be confident in maintaining strong compliance standards as Nominated Supervisor, be able to support the staff and help build family relationships. As a hands-on leader, you will inspire and support both children and educators through your nurturing, resilient, and collaborative approach. You will be responsible for developing engaging and enriching programs, driving curriculum excellence, and providing mentorship and ongoing guidance to educators to support best practice and continuous professional growth. This role is an ongoing part time position across 3 days. 2 days teaching our 4year old group and 1 day non contact. **Hours:** 25.75 hours per week **Sessions:** * Mondays: 7.30am-5pm (class runs 8.30am-4.00pm) * Wednesdays: 7.30am-5pm (class runs 8.30am-4.00pm) **Non Contact:** * 8.30am-3.45pm Thursday ***While class time and days are fixed, the span of hours worked as Non Contact are flexible for the successful cadidate.***
The successful applicant must have: · Bachelor of Education qualification · VIT registered · Current CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Training and a current First Aid Certificate are required. · Previous experience as a Nominated Supervisor (Preferred) · Confident managing staff and parent communication · Organised with strong attention to detail
