Introduction:
The Regional Personal Training Manager achieves results by creating a positive member experience through the
delivery of quality new member integration, gym floor fitness services, personal training services and
Group Fitness Exercise classes executed by the Personal Trainers and Group Training Team.
The Regional Personal Training Manager forms part of the senior management in the network and will work
collaboratively with the Club Managers and Regional Managers.
Description:
Member Service
- Take ownership of customer service delivery by ensuring
all member enquiries are handled professionally and
efficiently at point of first contact.
- Ensure the delivery of quality new member integration for
all new members
- Ensure members are matched with an appropriate
Personal Trainer for their training goals/needs
- Ensure that Personal Training Products and Fitness
Services are delivered in accordance with Anytime Fitness
procedural, branding and service standards.
- Monitor the delivery of all 1:1 and small group sessions to
ensure a professional, tailored approach
- Promote service satisfaction by aligning member needs
with available fitness services/products
- Provide support and advice on all club promotions and
actively promote personal training sessions and fitness
services to improve member retention
- Communicate regularly with members to obtain feedback
regarding the group fitness timetable programming to
enhance member experience
- Continually review the quality and delivery of all Group
Fitness Programs and implement systems to develop and
improve the performance of the club and the member
experience
- Continually review the quality and delivery of free Personal
Training sessions and implement systems to develop and
improve the performance of the Personal Trainers and the
member experience
People Management & Development
- Pro-actively recruit and retain highly qualified, professional
Personal Trainers and Group Trainers
- Integrate all new employees of the Fitness Team by
coaching them through the Ignite development program
and network onboarding system, to meet the required
performance standards
- Conduct regular development sessions (1 on 1 and group)
with all Personal Trainers and Group Trainers to ensure
they are meeting expectations and performance standards
- Provide ongoing professional development to Instructors to
meet personal development goals
- Communicate regularly with members to obtain feedback
regarding the fitness service to enhance member
experience and fitness team development
- Continually review the quality and delivery of PT sessions,
Fitness Services, PT Products and GX classes to develop
and improve the performance of the fitness team and the
member experience
Fitness Delivery
- Ensure appropriate booking, and servicing of all PT
Products delivered by Personal Trainers & Group Trainers
- Manage a Fitness Service club schedule that meets the
needs of the members and has optimal usage of available
fitness hours.
- Implement and manage effective delivery of all Fitness
Integration products by the Fitness Team
- Implement and manage effective delivery of all Fitness
Services by the Fitness Team
- Actively promote GX classes, fitness initiatives/products to
members
Operations
- Embed club based policy and procedures in line with
company requirements to ensure the club operates within
safe and efficient guidelines
- Ensure all Personal Trainers and Group Trainers are
provided with appropriate documentation and agreements
are signed, and completed prior to commencing with
Anytime Fitness
- Keep up to date records of all Personal Trainers and Group
Trainers vital documents relating to their first aid,
registration as a fitness professional, and personal
insurance and ensure all fitness staff in the club are
registered, and certified at all times.
- Management and scheduling of Fitness Roster including
Personal Trainers and Group Trainers, fitness product
schedule and bookings.
- Manage the administration requirements of the PT
business, PT Bookings, any Payroll, and all associated
reporting tools
- Ensure the clubs equipment, layout and facilities contribute
to a positive member experience
- Ensure all club marketing/signage is in alignment with
Anytime brand standards
- Undertake fitness/personal training/group fitness services
exclusively for Anytime Fitness
- The Regional Personal Training Manager be required to perform such
other duties as directed by their manager from time to time.

- Proven experience of working as a Personal Trainer
- Leading, managing and recruiting Personal Trainers
- Training, developing and building quality teams and employees
- Using coaching as a technique to develop others
- Planning and executing pro-active recruitment strategies
- Executing high quality brand standards in a customer focused industry
- Implementing personal training programmes into a business/team
Knowledge & Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Fitness
- Current First Aid and CPR qualifications essential
- Fitness/Health Club Operations
- What a quality member service and experience looks like and how to deliver on this
- Personal training and how personal training programmes contribute to exceeding
expectations
- Anatomy with applications to developing personal exercise programmes
- Occupational Health and Safety procedures
- How to motivate and lead a team
- Degree in Business or a business related degree advantageous
