We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) for various locations of Gold Coast to provide support and assistance to individuals who require assistance with their daily living activities. The PCA will be responsible for providing personal care, emotional support, and companionship to clients while ensuring their safety and well-being. Support workers are not required and disability workers are also not required only PCA's who have age care experience of 6 months.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Help clients with mobility by transferring them from their bed to a wheelchair or vice versa
- Administer medication as prescribed by a healthcare professional
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and pulse rate
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing
- Accompany clients to appointments, social events, and other activities
- Report any changes in the client's condition to the healthcare team
Requirements:
- Valid Certificate 3 In Aged care or Individual support.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or caregiving role preferred
- NDIS Clearence
- WWC check
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient personality
Working Conditions: PCAs may work in a various aged care and therefore, willing to travel upto 45mins drive. The work may involve standing or walking for extended periods, and may require lifting or moving clients. PCAs may be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the needs of their clients.
