Golding are seeking an experienced and motivated Specialist Environmental Advisor to join our civil project teams

Due to upcoming opportunities within our Civil Division, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Specialist Environmental Advisor to join our project teams. In this role, you will provide expert environmental guidance and drive continuous improvement initiatives across our projects. Success in this position will rely on your ability to build and maintain strong relationships with site teams, and internal and external stakeholders, while supporting practical and effective environmental outcomes on ground.
Experience working on TMR projects will be highly regarded.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing environmental documentation and providing advice and support to ensure the consistent implementation of environmental management processes at a site level.
This is a full-time permanent position operating on a site-based roster. Flights, accommodation and meals will be provided while on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain Environmental Management Plans (EMP) and the associated subplans (WQMP, WMP, ESCP).
- Manage the installation and ongoing maintenance of erosion and sediment control measures.
- Undertake water quality monitoring and environmental inspections.
- Monitor vegetation clearing, topsoil management and revegetation activities.
- Participate in safety, health and environmental risk assessments.
- Provide accurate, practical and professional environmental advice to project teams and clients.
- Identify, communicate and manage site environmental risks and compliance obligations.
- Participate in environmental reporting, audits and continuous improvement initiatives at site and business level.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in environmental management within civil construction, infrastructure or related industries, specifically TMR.
- Strong knowledge of erosion and sediment control best practice.
- Experience coordinating specialist consultants and external stakeholders to deliver quality submissions and project outcomes.
- A sound understanding of environmental management systems, including ISO 14001.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- A practical, proactive approach and willingness to work in a hands-on, field-based environment.
