The Opportunity
We are currently seeking two (2) dedicated female Support Workers (Although male Support workers are also encouraged to send your resume through for other oppurtunities!) to provide personalised care for two of our current participants.
These roles are focused on building meaningful independence, managing mental health goals, and facilitating community connection.
- Location: Ascot Park and Southern Adelaide suburbs
- Roster: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons (with excellent potential to increase hours).
- Flexibility: Ad-hoc shifts are also available on Mondays and Fridays.
Participant Preferences
- Our participants have specifically requested Female support workers aged between 20–28 years old to best match their peer dynamic and comfort levels.
- Excellent, high-standard verbal and written English communication skills are required to effectively support these participants' specific communication and processing needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centered in-home support and community access.
- Assist participants with daily living skills, social inclusion, and emotional regulation.
- Apply knowledge of psychosocial disability and mental health frameworks to support participants through challenges and milestone achievements.
- Maintain accurate, professional shift notes and communicate effectively with the broader team.
Position Requirements (Must-Haves)
- Experience/Knowledge: Demonstrated experience or strong knowledge of psychosocial disability and mental health support- either in a job role or lived experience.
- Qualifications: Currently holding or actively studying towards a Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or a related field.
- Clearances: * Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (Clearance)
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Training: Completed NDIS Worker Orientation Modules.
- Experience: Prior experience in the disability sector is highly preferred.
