Position Overview
The Kitchen Hand plays a vital support role in CU29’s kitchen, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of operations. This position involves maintaining cleanliness, assisting with basic food preparation, and supporting the culinary team in delivering CU29’s premium dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning & Hygiene
Wash, sanitize, and store all kitchen equipment, utensils, and crockery to required hygiene standards.
Keep all kitchen areas, floors, and storage spaces clean, safe, and organized.
Dispose of waste correctly, following recycling and environmental guidelines.
Food Preparation Assistance
Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, portioning, and plating under supervision.
Ensure ingredients are stored, labelled, and rotated correctly.
Support mise en place activities before and during service periods.
Operational Support
Assist in unpacking and storing deliveries in accordance with food safety requirements.
Replenish stock and service stations as needed during service.
Communicate any shortages, equipment faults, or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.

Physical ability to perform manual tasks and work on your feet for extended periods.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
