Details: The Place Management team is looking for an experienced and motivated person to fill the role of its Senior Director.
As Senior Director, you would be responsible for more than 220 personnel and contractors, and the plant/equipment required to overall manage and maintain all public open space areas in urban areas of Canberra. This includes responsibility for managing and maintaining over 4000 hectares of public open space, 120+ urban lakes and ponds, 500+ playgrounds, 90 shopping centres and around 2200 hectares of shrub beds.
Leading the team, you will be responsible for driving the strategic planning for the Unit, as well as overseeing the successful delivery of all services including politically sensitive projects and supporting the development and welfare of all team members. The role requires a leader who can inspire, energize and positively influence team outcomes, and possesses strong leadership skills to support others in a dynamic and changing work environment.
