About the Opportunity
Clarity Health Care is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented and organised HR and Payroll Administrator to support our People & Culture and Finance teams.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role provides administrative support across People & Culture and Payroll functions, ensuring employees are supported throughout their employment lifecycle while payroll is processed accurately and on time.
The successful candidate will assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, maintaining HR records, payroll administration, employment documentation, and general HR coordination. Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable is highly regarded, as the role also provides administrative support to the Finance team, including during peak workload periods.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, a high level of confidentiality, and a willingness to learn and grow within both HR and payroll. This is a foundational role within our People & Culture and Finance functions, well suited to someone building their career in HR and payroll.

Part-time: 3 days per week. Monday is required, with flexibility around the remaining two days.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the accurate processing of fortnightly payroll and assist Finance with reconciliations and reporting.

Liaise proactively with managers and employees on roster changes, leave requests and shift coverage.

Maintain accurate employee records within HR information systems, supporting data integrity as headcount grows.

Coordinate key employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, offboarding, contract variations, probation reviews and related HR correspondence.

Support recruitment administration, including interview scheduling and reference checks.

Assist with the administration of performance review cycles.

Support compliance obligations, including Working with Children Checks, police checks, professional registrations and mandatory training records.

Act as a first point of contact for HR and payroll enquiries, managing shared inboxes and phone-based queries with professionalism and care.

Provide broader administrative support to the People & Culture team, adapting to the evolving needs of a growing organisation.
Qualifications and experience

Certification in human resources, business administration or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

Previous administration experience, preferably in Human Resources, Payroll or Office Administration.

Exposure to payroll processing or payroll system, i.e systems such as Payroll Metrics or Keypay (desirable).

Experience using Xero Accounting (desirable).

Experience with Martian Logic (desirable but not essential).

Accounts payable and/or accounts receivable experience is highly regarded.

Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.

Excellent organisational and time management skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.

Must hold, or be willing to obtain, a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) and a current police check (within last 3mths)
