Growth Academy is a growing tutoring centre committed to helping students reach their academic potential through engaging, high-quality education in a supportive learning environment. We offer small-group tuition across English, Mathematics, OC Test Preparation, Selective School Preparation, and academic enrichment programs for primary and secondary students.

With over 15 years of educational experience, our programs are designed to complement the Australian Curriculum while equipping students with the knowledge, confidence, and exam strategies needed to excel. Our classes are intentionally kept to a maximum of 8 students, allowing tutors to provide personalised guidance, meaningful feedback, and an engaging classroom experience where every student is supported.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Growth Academy is seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable tutors to join our OC and Selective Test Preparation Team for Term 4 2026 through to Term 1 2027, supporting students during the NSW OC and Selective test preparation period.
You’ll deliver engaging lessons to small groups of motivated students using structured lesson plans and teaching resources provided by Growth Academy.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach engaging lessons in:
- Thinking Skills
- Mathematical Reasoning
- Reading Comprehension
- Writing
- Inspire students to achieve their academic and examination goals.
- Develop students’ confidence, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Create a positive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback to parents.
- Ensure every student receives individual attention and encouragement throughout each lesson.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
We’re looking for tutors who are passionate about education and committed to helping students succeed.
Essential
- Strong knowledge of the NSW OC and Selective School curriculum
- Ability to teach one or more of the following:
- Thinking Skills
- Mathematical Reasoning
- Reading
- Writing
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience with primary and/or secondary students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong classroom management and organisational abilities
- Reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to student success
- Available from Term 4 (commencing 6 October 2026) through to Term 1 2027, including after-school and/or weekend classes
Highly Regarded
- Education degree (completed or currently studying)
- Previous experience teaching OC or Selective preparation programs
- Familiarity with the NSW Curriculum
