The Warehouse Operator / Counter Sales is a Full-time position, based at Alexandria, NSW. Reporting to the Store Manager you Will join our Gyprock Trade Centre and assist with customer service, sales, and warehouse duties as needed.
In this role you will:
- Deliver outstanding customer service in-store, online, and over the phone
- Support daily store operations and merchandising standards
- Process orders, invoices, and payments efficiently
- Assist with stock control, replenishment, and inventory
- Load/unload deliveries and prepare customer orders safely
- Serve customers in-store and warehouse, including vehicle loading
- Maintain accurate labelling, documentation, and presentation
- Contribute to sales targets and overall store performance
Your standard working hours are Monday to Friday between 6:00 am and 2:00 pm, totalling a 38-hour week, with any additional hours worked beyond 38 paid at overtime rates (including Saturdays).
About you:
- Experience in customer service and a warehouse environment is advantageous
- Forklift licence and experience are essential
- Ability to handle sales transactions, process orders, and manage stock inquiries
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and basic computer skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy products as required (manual handling involved)
- A positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset in a fast-paced environment
- A strong work ethic and commitment to safety procedures are essential
