Coastal Steelfixing Australia is seeking an experienced and safety-focused C1 Crane Operator to join our growing team.

About the Role
Reporting to the Site Supervisor or Leading Hand, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mobile cranes and associated lifting equipment to support construction activities.
You will play a critical role in the lifting, movement and placement of reinforcing steel, materials and equipment while ensuring all operations are completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate mobile cranes and associated lifting equipment.
- Complete daily pre-start inspections and equipment checks.
- Lift, move and position reinforcing steel, materials and equipment as required.
- Follow lift plans, site procedures and supervisor instructions.
- Monitor crane load charts and operating limitations.
- Work closely with Dogmen, Riggers and site personnel to coordinate lifting activities.
- Maintain exclusion zones and safe lifting practices at all times.
- Report equipment defects, faults and maintenance requirements.
- Complete operational and compliance documentation accurately.
- Maintain cranes and associated equipment in a clean and serviceable condition.
- Assist with general site duties when required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience operating mobile cranes in a construction environment.
- Strong understanding of lifting operations and load management.
- Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

- Commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement.
Essential Requirements
- High Risk Work Licence – C1 Mobile Crane.
- Construction White Card.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Experience operating mobile cranes.
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical assessments and drug and alcohol screening if required.
Desirable Qualifications
- Dogging Licence (DG).
- Rigging Licence (RB, RI or RA).
- Forklift Licence (LF).
- Experience working with reinforcing steel or within the construction industry.
