What this opportunity involves:
As an Assistant Finance Manager in JLL's Property and Asset Management team, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the financial operations for 1 William Street in Brisbane. Working closely with the General Manager and Portfolio Finance Manager, you'll ensure accurate and timely financial reporting that adds tangible value for our clients. Your responsibilities will span the full spectrum of property accounting—from processing monthly rent rolls and managing tenant accounts to preparing annual operating budgets and supporting year-end reporting.

An overview of the role:
Assist the General Manager and Portfolio Finance Manager with preparation of monthly reports including reforecasting activities
Maintain accurate property and tenant details including tenancy schedules, contact information and lease files within the online filing system
Support tenant arrears collection within client performance parameters and provide weekly updates on tenant account status
Process monthly rent rolls and review daily Trust Account Statements to identify and allocate tenant receipts accurately
Complete tenant account reconciliations and process journal entries including accruals, prepayments, adjustments and reclassifications
Manage purchase orders actively to minimize validity periods exceeding three months and ensure compliance with internal procedures
Liaise with client finance teams on all property accounting matters and coordinate the setup and release of real estate deposits
Prepare annual operating budgets by working with Operations teams to review expenses, create projections and input data into the B&F Model
Process all tenant charges in accordance with lease agreements including CPI reviews, market rent reviews and standard rent reviews
Sounds like you? This is what we are looking for:
Minimum three years of experience in finance, administration or other relevant property-related roles
Experience working with Property Management systems, with MRI software experience preferred
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to liaise effectively across multiple stakeholders
Advanced Excel proficiency including pivot tables, lookup functions and multi-dimensional formulas
Highly organized with a methodical approach to managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines
Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Working knowledge of trust accounting policies and procedures
Previous experience in commercial property management or real estate finance environments
Familiarity with outgoings reconciliation and annual audit processes
Experience supporting operational teams with contract management and contractor coordination
Understanding of lease documentation and commercial property terms and conditions
