Stability Trial Chemist

The Role & Your Impact As a Stability Trial Chemist, reporting to the Stability Supervisor, you will ensure Ego products maintain high quality throughout their shelf life. You will execute stability testing, investigate batch trends, and support cross-functional teams with data that backs up critical business functions. Your work directly impacts product safety, regulatory compliance, and customer trust.
What You Will Bring We are looking for a motivated chemist who balances technical expertise in analytical testing with strong problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Stability Testing & Trial Management: Initiate new stability trials, analyse product stored under different conditions, conduct analytical testing of physical and chemical parameters, and follow good documentation practices.
Laboratory Operations: Monitor incubator performance, raise non-conformances promptly, perform equipment calibration, and participate in routine maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
Investigations & Projects: Conduct out-of-specification or out-of-trend investigations and execute targeted testing projects for key stakeholders including R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Packaging, and Quality.
Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workspace while adhering strictly to company safety procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Requirements:
Education & Work Rights: Tertiary Qualification in Science or a related discipline, with a primary focus or strong component in Chemistry, and legal eligibility to live and work in Australia.
Professional Skills: Well-organised with the ability to work under pressure and consistently with minimum supervision.
Technical Rigor & Integrity: Meticulous with excellent attention to detail, maintaining strong ethics, honesty, and high integrity within a GMP/GLP environment.
Cross-Functional Communication: Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders across the business, such as R&D, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Packaging teams.
Problem Solving & Initiative: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrating proactive initiative to identify work gaps and thoroughly follow through on investigations.
Desirable Requirements:
Industry Background: Direct experience in a regulated environment, preferably with TGA/GMP pharmaceutical understanding.
Analytical Instrumentation: Practical laboratory experience in wet chemistry, HPLC, GC, and UV analysis.
