Wise Eyes Optical in Wollongong is hiring! Nestled between the mountains and sea is sunny Wollongong, only one hour south of Sydney. Wise Eyes is a well-established independent practice that has been serving the Illawarra community for 40+ years.
We are looking for an Optical Dispenser to add to our team in a full-time or part-time role.
We are seeking a fun applicant who enjoys delivering high quality customer service and who has experience in the industry.
About the role:
- Can interpret prescriptions and dispense spectacles and contact lenses
- Has knowledge of frames and lenses to suit needs
- Can take optical measurements and fit, adjust and repair frames
- Manage and follow up on orders, handle patient bookings and health fund claims
- Provide general support around the practice
About you:
- A Qualified Optical Dispenser (Cert IV in Optical Dispensing) is preferred, but experienced candidates are welcome to apply
- High attention to detail
- Reliable, organised and able to work as part of a small team that can be fast-paced at times
- Strong communication skills
- An interest in helping people
- Confidence using Optomate is preferred but not essential
