About the Opportunity
ASC is seeking an experienced Project & Proposals Manager to lead the development of complex, high-value bids and proposals within a nationally significant defence environment.
Working across engineering, project delivery, commercial and executive stakeholders, you will drive proposal strategies and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to develop compelling, commercially sound and technically robust submissions.
This role operates at the intersection of proposal development, project delivery and commercial strategy. You will oversee the end-to-end proposal lifecycle, from opportunity assessment and bid planning through to pricing, risk evaluation, approval, negotiation and contract close.
Success in this role requires the ability to navigate complex technical information, manage competing priorities and influence stakeholders across a diverse range of disciplines.
This is a full-time opportunity based at either our Osborne site in SA or Henderson in WA
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development and delivery of complex, high-value proposals and tender submissions.
- Develop bid strategies and win themes that maximise the likelihood of securing new business opportunities.
- Drive the development of cost estimates, pricing strategies, schedules and commercial submissions.
- Identify, assess and manage bid risks, assumptions, dependencies and opportunities throughout the proposal lifecycle.
- Manage proposal governance, reviews and approvals to deliver compliant, high-quality submissions within required timeframes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and customers, influencing outcomes across a complex and highly technical environment
About you
- Tertiary qualifications, such as Finance, Commerce, Accounting or Project Management and/or relevant business industry experience
- 8 years' experience in bid management, proposals, estimating or project development.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex bids, tenders or proposals valued in the multi-million-dollar range.
- Experience within Defence, Maritime, Mining, Heavy Engineering, Infrastructure or similar highly regulated industries.
- Strong commercial and estimating capability.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and develop winning proposal strategies.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong presentation and executive stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working within governance-heavy environments
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
