Sydney | Full-time | Hybrid – 2–3 days in our Sydney, Leichhardt office
What you will love about this role:
At 3P Learning, our people are the heartbeat behind everything we do. Our award-winning products Mathletics, Reading Eggs, Mathseeds and Writing Legends, reach millions of students and educators across the globe, and none of that happens without the talented, passionate people who build, support, and champion them every day.
As our People & Culture Advisor – APAC, you’ll join a cohesive and high performing global People & Culture team, as the go-to person for managers and employees alike in the APAC region. You’ll be the engine behind a seamless, engaging employee experience across our APAC region of around 200 people. From recruitment and onboarding through to performance, wellbeing, and compliance, you’ll work closely with the Heads of People & Culture, and key contacts in the APAC region, to deliver the People and Culture agenda.
Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, and based in Australia, we’re open to hybrid working from our Sydney office. If you’re a people person who loves variety, thrives on building relationships, and wants a role where your work is visible and your impact real, this one’s for you.
What you will do:
-
Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees across the APAC region, providing guidance and support across all stages of the employee lifecycle recruitment, onboarding, performance, development, employee engagement and offboarding.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment activity in region: partner with hiring managers to shape role profiles, screen and interview candidates, guide fair and inclusive selection decisions, conduct reference and background checks, and prepare employment contracts.
- Ensure a seamless and engaging onboarding experience for new starters, owning the P&C collateral and processes that set people up to thrive from day one.
- Serve as the first point of contact for people-related queries, offering informed, solutions-focused advice on performance management, employee relations, wellbeing, and workplace legislation.
- Support and coach managers on best practices and employee relations matters, including application of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, and any relevant modern awards.
- Own the maintenance and periodic review of People & Culture policies and procedures, keeping them current, compliant with applicable legislation, and accessible to everyone across the region.
- Support Workplace Health and Safety obligations, including psychosocial safety, and manage return to work and workers’ compensation cases in line with applicable legislation and 3P policy.
- Maintain and optimise our HRIS (BambooHR) and internal systems, ensuring data integrity, functionality, and relevance.
- Prepare people reports and generate insights to inform decisions on hiring, turnover, engagement, and diversity.
- Champion culture initiatives and events that strengthen connection and collaboration across teams, making 3P an inclusive and genuinely great place to work.
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects and global P&C initiatives as they arise.
What you'll bring:
-
Solid experience in a People & Culture, HR Advisor, or related generalist role, ideally gained in a fast-paced and varied environment.
- Solid working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, and modern award interpretation.
- A good working knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety obligations including psychosocial safety, and experience managing return to work and workers’ compensation cases as the need arises.
- Experience owning or contributing to People & Culture policy development and maintenance.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms (BambooHR a plus) and Microsoft Office; comfortable extracting and using data to generate meaningful insights.
- A track record of building trusted relationships with managers and employees at all levels.
- A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, calm under pressure, discreet with sensitive matters, and demonstrates solid judgement in knowing when to escalate.
- Strong communication skills, clear, empathetic, and confident – adaptive to the context and circumstances.
- A genuine curiosity and drive to continuously improve processes and the employee experience.
