About the Role
Are you a driven production leader with a passion for operational excellence and team success? We’re looking for a Production Leading Hand to contribute to shaping a high-performing, safety-first manufacturing environment and delivering outstanding results for our customers.
The role of the Production Leading hand is to ensure customer satisfaction by overseeing the duties of the production team. The role is to provide accurate business information and ensure adherence to the Quality, People, OH&S, Environment, and Inventory management procedures in their respective team. Lead from the front in disciplines that foster a strong culture and work ethic for all employees to see in all the above key result areas.
- Lead and supervise production staff, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met
- Set up, operate, and maintain production machinery and equipment
- Monitor product quality and report defects to the Production Manager
- Coordinate production schedules and manage raw material stock levels
- Ensure all QA/QMS documentation is completed and maintained accurately
- Conduct toolbox talks, support training, and maintain team skills records
- Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring incidents are reported and investigated
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety, and environmental compliance
- Proven experience in production or manufacturing (precast or construction materials experience highly regarded).
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
