A Factory Worker is responsible for supporting manufacturing and production operations by assembling products, operating machinery, packaging finished goods, and maintaining a clean and safe workplace. This role is ideal for dependable individuals who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while following workplace health and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assemble, inspect, and package products according to company standards.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished goods.
- Perform routine quality checks to identify defects or inconsistencies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow workplace health and safety (WHS) policies and procedures.
- Report equipment faults, production issues, or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Assist with inventory movement and stock handling as required.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors.
Requirements
- Previous experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or factory work is an advantage but not essential.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, or overtime when required.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Forklift licence (LF) is an advantage for some positions but not required.
