About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role leads the development and execution of Oporto's brand and marketing strategy to strengthen brand equity and support commercial growth. The role works closely with Operations, Finance, Shared Services, agency partners and the broader Marketing team to deliver integrated customer-focused initiatives. It is responsible for end-to-end brand planning, campaign development, creative direction, customer experience programs and marketing performance management. The position plays a key role in ensuring Oporto remains distinctive, relevant and consistent across every customer touchpoint.
Key Activities Include:
Brand Strategy & Planning
- Develop and deliver annual brand and marketing plans aligned to growth and commercial objectives.
- Lead the evolution of Oporto's long-term brand strategy to strengthen customer consideration, brand health and market competitiveness.
- Identify growth opportunities through customer, category and competitor insights.
- Monitor brand performance and recommend initiatives that drive awareness, preference and commercial outcomes.
Integrated Marketing & Campaign Delivery
- Lead the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that drive demand for Oporto's core menu and signature products.
- Develop annual campaign platforms and promotional calendars that balance brand building with sales-driving initiatives.
- Oversee channel planning across paid, owned, earned and in-restaurant marketing touchpoints.
- Evaluate campaign effectiveness and optimise activity based on performance, customer insights and return on investment.
Creative Excellence & Brand Communications
- Champion creative excellence across all customer touchpoints, ensuring Oporto remains distinctive and relevant in market.
- Lead the development of advertising, brand communications and creative assets that strengthen brand awareness and consideration.
- Brief, influence and manage creative, media and production agency partners to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Maintain and evolve brand guidelines, visual identity and creative standards to ensure consistency across all channels.
Customer Experience & Brand Activation
- Own the end-to-end in-restaurant brand experience across the national restaurant network.
- Lead the development of packaging, menu boards, point-of-sale materials, uniforms and other physical brand assets.
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain and Design teams to ensure consistent execution of brand initiatives.
- Deliver customer experience improvements, partnerships and activations that enhance brand perception and customer engagement.
Performance, Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Drive a performance-led marketing culture using customer, commercial and brand metrics to inform decision making.
- Monitor campaign performance, sales impact, transaction growth and marketing ROI, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Manage marketing budgets, media investment and advertising fund expenditure within approved forecasts.
- Lead and develop team members while building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, agency partners and suppliers to achieve business objectives.
About You
Essential
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing or a related discipline.
- Experience developing and executing brand and marketing strategies.
- Strong capability managing integrated campaigns across multiple channels.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and agency partners to deliver outcomes.
- Commercially minded with the ability to use insights and performance data to inform decisions.
Desirable
- Experience within QSR, retail, FMCG or hospitality environments.
- Exposure to customer experience, brand activations or partnership programs.
- Experience managing creative, media or production agency relationships.
