We’re looking for a qualified Refrigeration Mechanic to join our growing team at Applied Air Solutions based in Hallam.
If you’re an experienced fridgie who enjoys fault finding, takes pride in your work and likes the variety of getting out on the road and solving problems, we’d love to hear from you.
You’ll work across a variety of commercial and residential air conditioning and refrigeration systems, with a mix of servicing, breakdowns, preventative maintenance, repairs, commissioning and installations.
What you’ll be doing:
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial and residential air conditioning and refrigeration systems
- Diagnosing faults and troubleshooting mechanical and refrigeration issues and recommending practical repair or replacement options
- Attending breakdowns and reactive service calls
- Carrying out preventative and scheduled maintenance
- Repairing and replacing components including compressors, fan motors, valves, controls and PCBs
- Refrigerant leak detection, repairs, evacuation, pressure testing and recharging
- Installing and commissioning air conditioning and refrigeration equipment
- Completing clear and accurate service reports
- Building positive relationships with clients and keeping them informed
What we’re looking for...
We’re after someone who:
- Is a qualified Refrigeration Mechanic
- Holds a current ARCtick Refrigerant Handling License
- Holds a White Card
- Holds a current Class 1 REL
- Has strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Has solid knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- Is comfortable working independently and making decisions on-site
- Communicates well with customers and the team
- Takes pride in their workmanship and presentation
- Is reliable, organised and can manage their day effectively
- Holds a current Australian driver’s license
