You see the big picture, you’ve always worked on a grand scale, and now you’re ready to re-focus on grand impact.
Here's your chance to design and deliver efficient, customer-focused services that also enhance accessibility, sustainability and overall quality of living for more people than you've imagined.
In this role, you'll:
Working as part of a team delivering interactive web‑based data visualisation applications, custom analytics solutions, and enhanced data exploration capabilities that bridge the gap between traditional BI tools and advanced analytical needs across Transport for NSW.
This role will see you design, develop and maintain scalable Python‑based analytics applications, collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into fit‑for‑purpose solutions, integrate applications with cloud data storage and warehouses, optimise performance and code quality, produce documentation and user guides, and support user training and adoption, with development opportunities in advanced application design, data pipeline integration, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement of analytics tools.
You will build new ways of enabling intuitive, interactive data exploration and stronger self‑service analytics in a matrixed, multi‑source environment requiring secure integration, performance optimisation, and support for user adoption alongside existing BI platforms.

About you
Your Python programming, data manipulation, SQL capability, visualisation design and user‑support skillset formed across analytics development, data engineering, and cloud‑based analytical environments will see you excel in integrating multiple data sources, overcoming challenges in driving adoption of custom applications, and bringing robust, scalable development practices to lead to intuitive visualisations, improved analytical capability, and enhanced evidence‑based decision‑making.
You’re recognized as an adept communicator and collaborative problem‑solver, skilled at explaining complex concepts, building interactive visualisations and applying critical‑thinking techniques, experienced in Python frameworks (Streamlit, Dash), cloud data integration, user training, documentation, and performance optimisation.
