Description:
Role Objective
To grow category sales and profitability with independent retailers and secondary wholesale customers within the Trading Division, while maintaining strong grower relationships, effective stock management, and full compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve individual sales, volume and margin targets while identifying opportunities to grow category sales and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and growers through regular communication and exceptional service.
- Manage daily pricing, grower returns and weekly supply forecasts to support trading performance.
- Monitor stock levels, product quality, stock rotation and daily reconciliations, investigating and reporting any discrepancies.
- Prepare and monitor sales, margin and performance reports using Ironbark and contribute to sales forecasting.
- Promote and protect the PREMIER brand while supporting national and state-based pricing negotiations.
- Maintain compliance with Workplace Health & Safety, food safety, Chain of Responsibility and company policies, including the safe operation of forklifts and equipment.
Skills and Experiences:
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years' sales experience in the fresh produce industry.
- Experience with sales, pricing, forecasting and stock management systems (Ironbark preferred).
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Current Forklift Licence (essential).
- WHS and First Aid qualifications (desirable).
- Tertiary qualification in commerce (desirable).
