Ally Building Solutions Pty Ltd is a Queensland-based building company specialising in the supply and installation of windows, doors, balustrades, privacy screening systems and other building products for residential, commercial and industrial projects across Queensland. The company also provides customised building solutions, supporting clients through various stages of construction with a strong focus on quality workmanship and reliable project delivery.
As our business continues to grow, we are expanding our residential construction operations while maintaining our strong presence in commercial projects throughout Queensland. This growth has created an increasing demand for qualified and experienced Carpenters to assist with the installation of building components, framing, fit-outs and other carpentry works across a range of construction projects.
The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out carpentry work across residential and commercial construction sites, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
· Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications and shop drawings to determine structural and installation requirements.
· Carry out site measurements, set-out and preparation works for residential, commercial and industrial construction projects.
· Construct, modify and repair timber framing, support structures, timber reveals and associated building components required for the installation of building products.
· Assess framing layouts, fixing points and nogging positions to ensure building products are securely integrated into existing structures.
· Install and adjust windows, doors, balustrades, privacy screening systems, façade screens, cladding systems and other building products in accordance with project specifications and Australian Standards.
· Perform structural fixing, anchoring and alignment of building components, ensuring proper integration with existing timber and non-timber building structures.
· Cut, shape, assemble and install timber and other construction materials using hand tools, power tools and specialised installation equipment.
· Inspect completed works and ensure compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
· Liaise with builders, project managers, site supervisors and other trades to coordinate structural requirements, resolve on-site construction issues and ensure projects are completed on schedule.
· Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe, clean and organised condition.
Skills & Experience
To be considered for this position, applicants should have:
1. Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification.
2. At least one year of relevant carpentry experience.
3. Experience in residential and/or commercial construction.
4. Ability to read construction drawings and work independently.
5. Strong understanding of Australian building practices and WHS requirements.
6. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
7. Current White Card.
8. Current driver’s licence (preferred).
