Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Picker and Packer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders by selecting and securely packaging items for shipment. Your efforts will ensure timely and error-free deliveries while maintaining a safe and organised warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Fulfillment:
- Pick items from warehouse shelves according to customer orders and packing lists.
- Inspect products for quality and verify that the correct quantities are selected.
- Packing and Labeling:
- Pack products securely using appropriate materials (e.g., boxes, bubble wrap, tape) to ensure safe delivery.
- Label packages accurately with shipping information and attach any required documentation.
- Inventory Management:
- Assist in organising and maintaining inventory, ensuring items are stored in the correct locations.
- Conduct regular stock counts and report discrepancies to management.
- Equipment Operation:
- Safely operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
- Follow standard operating procedures to maintain a high level of efficiency.
- Safety and Cleanliness:
- Adhere to all warehouse safety protocols and maintain a clean, organised work area.
- Report any safety hazards or damaged products promptly.
- General Duties:
- Complete all necessary paperwork and log order details accurately in the inventory system.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity and quality targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a warehouse, order fulfilment, or similar role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to lift items up to approximately 25 kg and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems are a plus.
- A team player with a proactive and positive attitude.
