This unique position on my support team includes both administrative and support work duties.
I'm a 46 year old woman who is strongly independent. I'm also creative and I love nature. My little dog Archie and my cat Theo are real characters and a big part of my home. I’m chronically ill, suffering from a severe auto-immune condition and serious health complications, including a neurological disorder. My dedicated team of support workers visit each day to help me manage my condition and my home. With their help I've been able to continue to live in my own home despite my challenging state of health. They also provide support with my work and studies on some evenings and nights.
We currently have the opportunity for someone to join my team:
The Position is 2 Day Shifts per week:
Start time: 8:30, 8:45 or 9am. Finish time: 2:30 - 3:30pm
Casual, long-term with regular shifts
There are opportunities for my team to get extra hours through night shifts or covering shifts.
Night shifts available: fairly active. Start time 7-9pm, Finish time 2-3am
(At times shifts start earlier due to my commitments eg 4pm and may finish earlier eg 12am. This is organised in advance). If you are primarily interested in nights let me know in the application questions.
Superannuation is paid at the standard rate
Weekday pay rate is from $44-$50/hr. My team get the higher pay rate based on experience as well as reliability, retention and doing the job to a high standard.
The services my team provide for me include:
- Personal care assistance, including toileting and showering
- Support with medication and health management plan
- Support during volunteer work
- Assistance with meal preparation
- Support to access the community and provision of transport
- Domestic assistance to ensure a clean environment
- House and yard maintenance
- Assistance with grocery shopping, product orders, claims and record keeping
The successful applicant would be a reliable, professional female who is able to follow instructions, use initiative and manage time well. I hope to find someone who has life experience, a positive personality and a good sense of humour.
- Prior experience is preferred
- Must live within 25km of Doubleview
- Australian drivers license (experienced driver) and reliable car required
- Must have good English skills (both written and verbal)
- Must be a non-smoker
- Must be over 25yrs old
