Overview (Text Only): Are you an accounting professional with experience in payroll accounting, wage analysis, and financial reporting looking for your next opportunity? Foot Locker Asia Pacific is seeking a Payroll Accountant to join our team on a fixed-term contract until July 2027 as a leave cover. In this role, you will be responsible for recording payroll-related activities in the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining reconciled accounts. You'll also support wage budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis while partnering with key stakeholders across the business. Responsibilities:

Manage month-end and year-end payroll accounting activities, including accruals and journal entries

Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for payroll-related accounts

Deliver wage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Provide KPI reporting and workforce cost insights to business stakeholders

Calculate and reconcile bonus payments and other wage-related costs

Support audits and ensure compliance with SOX and internal controls

Partner with HR, FP&A, Payroll Operations, and other teams on payroll-related accounting matters

Identify process improvements and efficiency opportunities
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years' experience in accounting, management accounting, financial analysis, or a similar role

Experience with payroll accounting, wage reconciliations, workforce cost analysis, and payroll-related financial reporting

Understanding of payroll data and how it impacts financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting outcomes

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience handling large data sets

Advanced Excel skills
