Chevron Glass is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations at our facility in Royal Park SA. As a full time role, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective production of our high-quality glass products to meet customer demand.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Manage the day-to day operations of the production department, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating all manufacturing activities for 50 to 70 people over two shifts.
- Monitor production processes and output to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure targets are met
- Collaborate with sales, procurement, and quality assurance teams to align production with business objectives
- Foster a safe and productive work environment by implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures
- Review and /or prepare maintenance schedules for plant and equipment with the Operations Manager to minimise downtime
- Provide leadership and guidance to the production team, including training, performance management and professional development
- Prepare production reports and analyse data to support informed decision making.
What We Are Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a production management role, preferable within the manufacturing industry.
- Experience in the glass processing industry will be highly regarded
- Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, and quality control principles
- Excellent problem -solving, decision - making, and critical - thinking skills
- Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire the team
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety.
Pay: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
