Sussex Inlet Public School is a welcoming, inclusive primary school with 280 students across 12 classes from Kindergarten to Year 6, including 17% Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students. The Assistant Principal will be an integral member of the school executive team, working collaboratively with staff, students, families, and the wider community to lead school improvement and support high-quality teaching and learning. The role provides an opportunity for a highly relational and strategic leader to contribute to a positive school culture and make a meaningful difference for students.

Demonstrated expertise in leading high-quality, differentiated literacy and numeracy programs, using data to identify needs, monitor progress, inform teaching practice and drive improved outcomes for all learners.
Proven ability to build the capacity of teachers through coaching, mentoring, feedback and collaborative professional practice, fostering high-performing teams and developing leadership capability and shared responsibility for student success.
Demonstrated ability to lead a positive, inclusive and equitable school culture characterised by a commitment to improving the participation, engagement and outcomes of every student.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively as a member of an executive team, balance the complex responsibilities of teaching and school leadership and build authentic, respectful and productive relationships with staff, students, families and the wider community.

Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice

Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching, and learning programs
