Category 5 Port Hedland are currently seeking a Fitter Machinist for an ongoing role, FIFO ex Perth or Local to Hedland. The role will see the successful candidate working within a diverse and productive team and presents fantastic new opportunities
The successful candidate will have the following licenses/ tickets and qualifications
- Mechanical Fitter/Turner Trade qualifications
- ‘C’ Class Driver License Current First Aid
- Working at Heights
- Confine Space
- High Risk License – EWP
- 2-5 years post trade experience in an automations, process control environment or manufacturing industry.

As an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician with strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills across industrial and automated environments. Committed to safe work practices, preventative maintenance, and maximising equipment reliability.
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in industrial maintenance and breakdown response.
- Fault finding, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of automated equipment.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, automation, and process control systems.
- Experience with CNC Sinumerik automation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Skilled in operating lathes, milling machines, metalworking equipment, oxy-acetylene, and arc welding equipment.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Proven commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
You will demonstrate your commitment to safety and use your experience and judgement to ensure yourself and your workmates stay safe. Your ability to set good examples of work ethic and integrity together with your positive mind set in dealing with work and people will highly regarded.
