About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Care Officers to join our growing team. You will provide person-centred support to participants living in Supported Independent Living (SIL) and other residential settings, helping them build independence, achieve their goals, and live fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and supervision to participants in residential and group home environments
- Assist with personal care, including grooming, dressing, hygiene, and mobility support
- Support participants with daily living activities and skill development
- Implement individual support plans and Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs)
- Facilitate community access, social engagement, and recreational activities
- Assist with meal preparation, household cleaning, laundry, and other domestic tasks
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and incident reports
- Monitor and report changes in participants' health, wellbeing, and behaviour
- Promote participant choice, independence, dignity, and inclusion
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment in line with NDIS Practice Standards
Essential Requirements
- Associate Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Disability, Community Services, Individual Support, Aged Care, or a related field, or the equivalent of 3 years relevant experience
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009)
- Valid Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred support
Desirable
- Experience supporting individuals with complex behaviours and support needs
- Knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards and restrictive practice requirements
- Medication administration experience
- Manual handling and hoist experience
- Mental health support experience

Employment Type: Full-time
Annual Salary: Minimum $76,515 plus superannuation
Location: SIL/SDA and residential support services across Capalaba and surrounding areas, QLD
