In this role, you'll:
As an Asset Management Capability Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening asset management practice across the organisation through the design and delivery of strategic capability uplift initiatives.
The role requires exposure to and/or knowledge of asset management principles applied in complex, asset intensive environments, and a strong ability to influence, engage, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to drive capability uplifts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering asset management frameworks, operating models, and targeted capability uplift programs that embed best practice across the organisation.
- Supporting and facilitating asset integration and handover planning for new and upgraded assets across all transport modes, ensuring operational readiness and lifecycle considerations are addressed.
- Actively engaging and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify asset maintenance, operational, and funding requirements, and to resolve complex cross functional issues.
- Contributing to contract modifications, governance, and compliance activities to support effective asset operation, maintenance, and performance outcomes.
- Promoting knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and maturity uplift through active participation in asset management communities of practice.

About you
You are a collaborative asset management professional, with demonstrated experience applying asset management principles in practice is highly desirable.
You bring a strong capability uplift mindset, with the ability to work alongside stakeholders to diagnose maturity gaps, co design solutions, and drive meaningful behavioural and operational change.
To be successful, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in asset management, asset lifecycle planning, or asset management capability development within complex or large scale organisations.
- A strong track record of stakeholder engagement and collaboration, with the ability to influence and align diverse business areas toward common outcomes.
- Experience in developing and implementing frameworks, operating models, governance structures, or maturity uplift initiatives.
- Exposure to asset intensive or government environments, with an understanding of public value and long term service delivery considerations.
- A strong commitment to continuous improvement, learning, and the ongoing development of asset management capability.
