Colab Construction is based on the most southern point of Western Australia in beautiful Albany. We are an award-winning local building company that specialises in commercial construction and are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our team. This is a great opportunity to work on a variety of mainly commercial projects with a company that values quality workmanship and professionalism.
Essential Job Functions – Carpenter:
- Carry out framing and fix out carpentry works using hand and power tools
- Interpret drawings, plans, and specifications
- Carry out work in accordance with occupational health and safety act and regulations
- Maintain safe and clean work environment
- Liaise with Site Supervisor and adjoining trades
- Comply with company procedures and policies
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines
- Demolition work
- Perform minor works across other trades e.g. excavation, concrete work, roof plumbing etc…
Skills and knowledge requirements:
- Qualified Carpenter
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Basic knowledge of the Australian Building Codes
- Good understanding of English and basic Math
- Proficient in use of electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools
- White Card (Construction Induction)
- Driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Must be able to obtain (or hold) a Police Clearance
